Andrea Flores is a college advisor at the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society (CDSS), where she enjoys helping students navigate their academic journey and make the most of their UC Berkeley experience. As a former transfer student and proud first-generation UC Berkeley graduate, she understands the unique experiences and challenges many students face. While attending Berkeley, she began working in student services, which sparked her passion for higher education and student support. Before joining CDSS, she worked as an academic counselor for the Transfer Student Center, where she enjoyed supporting transfer students as they transitioned to Berkeley. She is excited to continue that work at CDSS by creating an advising space that is welcoming, inclusive and empowering for all students. Outside of work, she loves sports – especially basketball and rugby – and is a proud alum of the Cal Women’s Rugby team.
