Continuation of ESG text analysis project from Fall 2021

The purpose of this project is to examine how the language of corporations changes as they address different audiences in their public disclosures vs their earning calls. Public disclosures are for the general public. We are comparing ESG (environment, society, and government) and non-ESG companies and if their language changes. Our project fits into the broader conversation around our topic since it analyses whether or not ESG companies are just saying that they care about the environmental, societal, and governmental impact of their company or if they’re actually acting upon their words.
