Cal's ground-breaking data science program is creating new opportunities for students – we could use your support!
Professor David Wagner
On Thursday, March 11, 2021, we invite Cal alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends to rally in a special Big Give, our annual fundraising blitz, to support our great university. This year, the Division of Computing, Data Science, and Society (CDSS) has a matching gift! If CDSS receives 50 gifts (i.e., 50 unique donations of at least $10) during Big Give, the Data Science Undergraduate Studies (DSUS) student teams will receive $10,000.
The DSUS student teams allow students to engage with university staff and faculty to help develop cutting-edge and multidisciplinary data science curriculum. Connecting computing, statistics, and the humanities, the our student teams reach throughout campus and welcome students from all backgrounds to contribute to the success of our education program.
Our student teams and interns are instrumental in driving the efforts of the Division of Computing, Data Science, and Society forward. Our students function as researchers, curriculum developers, and ambassadors for data science throughout campus — they are the heart of our program!
