On Monday, Oct. 24, Dawn Tilbury (M.S. '92, Ph.D.'94 EECS), the inaugural Chair of the Robotics Department at the University of Michigan, will deliver the 2022 Kuh Lecture — Robotics: Working together, Creating smart machines, Serving society — in the Banatao Auditorium, Sutardja Dai Hall, on the UC Berkeley campus from 12-1 p.m.

At the University of Michigan, Dawn Tilbury also serves as the Associate Vice President for Research – Convergence Sciences. In that role, she launched the Bold Challenges research initiative to bring together teams of faculty with social and technical science expertise to address societal challenges. From 2017 to 2021, she led the Directorate for Engineering at the National Science Foundation.
