We invite you all to an in-person session with Accenture Labs. During this session, you will learn about the Labs and some of its on-going multi-disciplinary research projects from the team members. Utilize this opportunity to interact with four researchers from the labs with diverse research backgrounds (Computer Science, Life Sciences, Mechanical engineering, Mathematics, Materials, and Sociology.)

Speakers:

Mike Kuniavsky is a Technology R&D Senior Principal Scientist and leads the Digital Experiences research group in Accenture Labs, which studies how changing technologies, behaviors, and business models interact. His team includes human computer/robot interaction researchers and cognitive scientists, and the team looks at everything from how natural language processing can help Twitch live streamers to how different body shapes can help people tele-operate robots in VR.


Krista Schnell is a Technology Research Principal in Accenture Labs. She leads tech forecasting on the Technology Vision team, which is responsible for producing Accenture’s premier technology thought leadership on trends predicted to be most impactful to organizations in the future. She received a BS in mechanical engineering from Stanford and an MS in sociology from UC Berkeley.


Jake Metzger is Associate Principal R&D Scientist at Accenture Labs in San Francisco. During his tenure, he has worked across several other teams at Accenture, including Emerging Tech (Europe), Liquid Studio San Francisco, and Liquid Studio London where he focused on rapid prototyping and graduation of developing AI technologies for enterprise, particularly for conversational AI. He also has experience in applied deep learning for robotic vision and sensor fusion from OSARO. His expertise includes Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Probabilistic Modeling. He holds a MSc in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Springfield and BA in Mathematics and Philosophy.


Rosalie Lin is a R&D specialist at Accenture Labs, Future Technologies group in San Francisco. She works on smart and sustainable materials application-driven research across additive manufacturing, biotech, and energy harvesting for HCI. Lots of work from her lab are driven by societal and environmental impact. She received a MS in Design Technology from Harvard University and a BS in Industrial Design with minor in Life Sciences.
