UC Berkeley will host its fourth annual National Workshop on Data Science Education for data science instructors on June 14-18. The event is free to attend. Register by clicking on this link. David Culler, the Friesen Professor of Computer Science, Emeritus at UC Berkeley is the recipient of the Berkeley Citation Award -- one of the university's highest honors. Culler was presented with the award during the online commencement ceremony for Data Sciences Undergraduate Studies on Saturday, May 15.

Michael I. Jordan, the Pehong Chen Distinguished Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the Department of Statistics at the University of California, Berkeley, has been named one of 10 Foreign Members to the Royal Society. In all, just 62 scientists from around the world were named Royal Society members this year.
