Domenico Caramagno

Domenico Caramagno is Director of Facilities and Capital Projects at the UC Berkeley College of Computing, Data Science, and Society. He reports to the Assistant Dean of Administration and is responsible for the coordination, planning, and implementation of facilities and capital projects for the Gateway building and other college facilities.  

Domenico grew up in Richmond, California and received his bachelor’s degree in forestry from UC Berkeley. Since graduating from the College of Natural Resources, Domenico has worked on the Berkeley campus in several different facilities roles, including superintendent of facilities at the Richmond Field Station and the director of facilities and operations for CITRIS and the Banatao Institute in Sutardja Dai Hall. With over 20 years of facilities experience, he helped foster a culture of discovery in Sutardja Dai Hall and provided faculty and researchers with customized space for academic activities and research.

Outside of work, Domenico can often be found spending time with his family exploring the outdoors. He is an avid gardener who grows and gathers food for his table.
