Education is widely viewed as essential for promoting sustainability, as any move toward sustainability requires changes in attitudes and behavior. The NPR 2018 survey showed that even though teachers are aware of climate change as a major issue, they don't address it in class due to structural factors such as standardized curriculum. In the last years, several organizations are developing teacher training programs to support teachers in integrating eco-literacy and climate action into formal education. This study assumes that the teacher’s social network plays an important role in their ability to act. The goal of this project is to identify how teacher social networks impact their ability to lead climate work in schools and encourage Eco literacy despite the odds. To achieve this goal we will be using social network analysis techniques (packages on Python) to analyze data that was collected from teachers that went through the training between 2015-2022.
