Rogers Walker is director of student programs at the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society (CDSS). In this role, he oversees a portfolio of co-curricular and extracurricular student programs, including initiatives supporting transfer students, student career preparation, and undergraduate research. He also supports space allocation for student-facing events across the college. Prior to joining UC Berkeley, Rogers worked in higher education administration, most recently at Harvard University, where he led a graduate student mentoring program. His programming and research interests center on supporting student flourishing by bridging the gap between the classroom and the world beyond the academy through critical inquiry, creativity, and community building. Rogers holds a Doctor of Education from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from George Washington University.
