The Transfer Empowerment Program is a transformative experience designed for current CDSS transfer students who seek to grow, develop leadership skills, forge lasting friendships, and find a true sense of belonging. Grow beyond the classroom: Transfer Student Seminar
Through an interactive seminar, you’ll develop the essential skills that go beyond your degree. Strengthen your leadership abilities, build resilience, and discover your true potential in an environment that encourages curiosity and continuous learning. In this 1-unit, P/NP course, students will be able to identify resources that will facilitate the development of academic, personal, and professional goals. For example, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with faculty, gain insight into what research is about, and receive personalized advice on building your resume to enhance your career prospects.
Build lifelong friendships: Hello World, Transfer Track
University life can sometimes feel isolating, but the Hello World mentorship program provides a supportive community. The program creates a space where transfer students can connect with others, form lasting friendships, and build a network of support that will continue beyond their time at Berkeley.
Through Hello World, you'll be paired with a mentor who is also a transfer student and who is in your same major; someone who has experienced the challenges you're facing and can guide you to valuable resources and opportunities. For transfer students, the program also introduces resources for internships and post-graduation employment.
