Pathways: Building Inclusive Foundations in Data Science

Through the Pathways project, UC Berkeley's Data Science Undergraduate Studies collaborates with California universities and community colleges to enhance foundational data science education statewide. This initiative facilitates seamless transitions for students from 2-year to 4-year California higher education institutions, empowering them to excel in the field of data science.

Berkeley City College is pleased to announce they will be modeling their Foundations of Data Science course after Laney College’s Math 118, starting in Fall 2025. They are currently in discussions with the curriculum department to determine the best placement for this new degree program and/or certificate.
